Ans: The two types of roots are tap roots and fibrous root.

Ans: Two examples of plants having fibrous roots are banana and marigold (rice, wheat, maize, grass)
D3.Why do aerial roots need to come out of the soil?
Ans: Plant having aerial root generally grow in marshy area, where the soil is arranged very tightly. The soil does not have sufficient oxygen for the roots, so aerial roots need to come out of the soil to get oxygen.

Ans: The main root of banyan and maize tree are not strong enough support the tree. The special  prop root which grow from the branches gives extra support to the main plant.
